Blended Backgrounds

For this tutorial you will need Simple Filters which you can download here. Open two of your own images 150 x200 pixels each or use the ones below for practice by right-clicking on them and saving them to your images folder. I'm using two images similar in color but you can experiment with any of your own ideas.

Go to Image -> Arithmetic -> Add your two images and use the settings as shown.

Click Ok and you'll have a new blended background.

Go to Effects -> Plug-in Filters -> Simple -> Quick Tile and you're done.
